BT, one of the world’s leading providers of communications solutions and services operating in 170 countries, is one of the founding members of the WBA. BT's principal activities include networked IT services; local, national and international telecommunications services; higher-value broadband and internet products and services and converged fixed/mobile products and services. BT is a major provider of Wireless Broadband services and its customers have access to over 2,500 BT Openzone hotspots in premium locations, and extensively across 12 city centres directly managed by BT in the UK and Ireland, as well as at over 35,000 sites globally via roaming partners.
Gabrielle represents BT as a Director on the WBA Board. She joined BT in 1997 and spent her first three years with BT in Tokyo, developing and managing BT’s regulatory and public affairs programmes. Since then Gabrielle has worked on various change programmes in BT, including solutions sales, bid management, regulation and new people and brand values. For the past three years, Gabrielle has worked in the wireless, mobility and convergence area, managing a programme to grow BT’s Wireless LAN sales to corporate customers, as well as managing the BT Group mobility programme, focusing on BT’s wireless, mobility and convergence strategy and performance.
Prior to joining BT, Gabrielle worked as a Public Affairs and PR consultant in Stockholm and Brussels. Gabrielle holds an MSc in Telecommunications Business from the University College London, an MA in International Economics and Relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington DC and a BA in International Relations/Asian Studies.
