Board Member: Mr. Luis Serrano Boingo Wireless Vice President, Network Strategy

Luis-Alfonso Serrano is vice president of network strategy and platform services for Boingo Wireless, the global market leader in Wi-Fi. Based in Los Angeles, California, Boingo® is a high-speed wireless Internet service available in hundred of thousands of locations such as hotels, airports, cafés and coffee shops around the world. At Boingo, Serrano leads the effort to expand Boingo's relationships with Wi-Fi hotspot operators worldwide to build up the Boingo Roaming System and is also responsible for wholesaling Boingo's aggregated network to third-party telecom operators.

Prior to Boingo, Serrano held a range of management consulting positions specializing in the telecommunications industry at international firms such as McKinsey & Company and J.P. Morgan Chase; he began his career as an analyst consultant for the Spanish Telecom Regulatory Commission.

Serrano holds an M.S. in telecommunications engineering from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain, and an M.B.A. from The Anderson School at UCLA. He currently works from both the Los Angeles-based headquarters, as well as a satellite office based in his native Madrid, Spain.
